So here I am again. Had another baby and that same 30 pounds that showed up in the first pregnancy has creeped back into my life. Not everyone who gets pregnant ends up with this much weight to lose. I’m one of those lucky people who gets incredibly nauseous in the first trimester and the only thing that soothes my stomach is to constantly consume the whitest of the white breads out there. Normally I don’t touch the stuff. But it’s the only way I can even remotely function during the first trimester. Lucky for me, it also helps to set up the foundation for my 30 lb weight gain. So. much. fun.

Actually, now that I think of it, it is kind of fun. To take on a challenge like this- to really put myself out there and lose that weight. It’s a fun journey! Right NOW IMG_8189though, it’s not so fun. I’m jiggly and none of my clothes fit- the maternity clothes fall off and look ridiculous and my ‘normal’ clothes aren’t even close to fitting on this bod. So I wear my husband’s clothes. Let me tell you what that does for confidence. No. You can guess.

I am sick of the extra baggage. So, beginning on Monday, June 23rd, I am going to take my own fitness advice and start losing the weight. And I’m inviting you to join me. If you have some extra pounds you’d like to dump and could use some support, then let’s do this! The more there are of us, the more likely we will succeed. Many people attempt to lose weight and very few succeed. You and me- we will get it DONE!

I have done it before and I will do it again. It’s that simple. Yes, the journey will have it’s ups and downs, as all do. But despite the fact that I have no idea when the heck I am going to fit in my workouts while taking care of 2 kids in diapers, and how I am going to manage my meals when these kids won’t even let me eat, I AM GOING TO DO THIS! And if I can do it, you can do it. So, are you in?

Here’s how I’m going to lay this out: For the first 30 days of my journey, I am going to share EVERYTHING! I will tell you what I did to get my exercise, exactly what I ate, and how I overcame the obstacles that are inevitable. I will lose the weight. It makes sense that if you do exactly what I do, that you’ll lose weight as well.

I am going to go about this in a very down to earth way. There will be no quick fixes, no diet pills, no starvation, nothing like that. I will eat mindfully and clean while watching portion sizes. I will aim to work out a MINIMUM of 10 minutes a day, even if it gets crazy around here and I have to split it up into 2 minute intervals. Like I said before, this is my second time doing this, so I know this level headed approach WORKS!
